This position works closely within a Graphics team, and with Structure Designers, Project Managers, Sales, and Production staff. Designers are heavily depended upon for cultivating creative graphic solution, enhancing customer impressions, and ensuring accurate graphic/print setup for production-bound jobs. Job Summary: The Graphic designer is responsible for conceptual ideas and bringing them to life through sketches and mock renderings. Members of the Graphics Team are also responsible for reviewing, preflighting, and prepping graphics for the production of packaging and point of purchase displays. Some custom graphic design work may also be necessary. Primary Customers of Graphic Designers: Sales team, Project Managers, and Production Products Supplied by Graphic Designers: Responsible for packaging and display graphics, creative input/ideas, conceptual sketches and rendering, photographs, promotional material for internal purposes (print publications, social media, and web), printed prototypes and samples, PDF print card/soft proofs, hard/printed proofs, and assembly instruction sheets for point of purchase displays. Job Duties: Experience Required: Hight School diploma/GED and 5-7 years experience as a graphic designer. internship, and/or relevant work experience. Proficient within Adobe CC - specifically Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Proficient with Microsoft office or comparable applications on a PC. Experience Preferred: Bachelor degree in Graphic design or closely related degree and 3-5 years graphic design experience. If individual has no prior experience, they will be expected to learn through internal training. Autodesk - 3Ds Max ColorGate - Productionserver10 (RIP) Knowledge of different print processes (Digital Inkjet Printing, Offset Lithography, and Flexography) Esko - Web Center, and Esko Artios CAD Graphic Design: Graphic development of packaging, and displays.
• Creation of concept renderings, or sketches. Supporting Sales and Project Managers with graphic needs. Designing or preparing art files for production. Preparing and/or reviewing proofs for accuracy. Reviewing and releasing litho label jobs and digital files to production. Development of assembly instructions for point of purchase displays. Prepress: Preflighting and preparing custom or customer supplied graphic files for: Prototypes Customer samples PDF soft proofs (print cards) Physical/printed hard proofs Final print production.
